    We absolutely love this place!
Unfortunately it's not very close to our house so we don't get to visit as often as we'd like.
    But the food is amazing!
My favorites are: Thai steak and eggs and the French toast!
Every time we come it's so good.
Service is good and the place is alway clean and packed with people.

I would recommend this place to everyone! They have an awesome menu.

My wish would be they opened other locations. (Like in Roseville /Lincoln area) hint hint.

I have always wanted to try this place because it has great reviews and it's really popular. I'm sad that I have to give 3 stars, I was hoping it was at least a 4! Let me break it down:

Food: I had the chilaquiles with the red mole sauce and pork. This was a bad decision on my part. I do not like sweet mole.. so I'm not saying it was bad but I, personally, did not care for it. Besides that, it was just overly drenched in sauce. I did like the pork though. I really tried to cover it in  tapatio to mask the sweetness but I just couldn't. I will have to try something else next time.

Service: the servers were friendly but not very attentive. I don't know if they were stretched too thin or what but we pretty much sat, waited 10 min to order, got our food, finished then waited about 15 min to get the check. I think they checked on us once that entire time.

Atmosphere: it was fresh outside and there was a slight breeze, but those darn flies we're so annoying!!!! It made the experience almost unbearable. My son and I tried to joke about it but man. Also, a little dusting under the benches wouldn't hurt. I seen quite a bit of cobwebs. Eeek.

Overall, I think I will give a second chance only because I'm really hoping they prove me wrong.

I love Tower Cafe! There is never a visit here that I leave disappointed. There is always a wait, yes... However for the food, service, and environment. It's  SO worth it!

Our favorite dishes to order are the Thai Steak and Eggs, the French Toast (A MUST EVERY TIME!!!), and the eggs benedict. But like I said - you cannot go wrong with anything you get here. The cocktails and coffee mocha's are also so delicious.

A must go to and our favorite brunch spot in Sac by far!

Breakfast for dinner in this eclectic cafe

I don't usually come this way but when we had a movie event next door at the Tower Theater I took the opportunity to dine here while in the area so as soon as the movie, "The Farewell," finished we strolled over here. That was about 8:45p. They closed at 10:00p during the week, later hours during weekends. There is indoor and outdoor seating, we chose to sit inside, it was a warm July summer evening. For a Monday the inside dining room was sparse with very few diners. We were seated immediately.

The inside decor was beautiful including so many plants (it almost looks somewhat like a jungle). I really couldn't figure out the theme of the place. There were gargoyles, animal carvings, statues, Buddha, sombreros, tapestries, framed prints, knick-knacks of all shapes and sizes, and fake flowers and leaves strung across the walls. The restaurant looks cluttered with eclectic décor and yet everything looks strategically placed and makes it look cool! Sorry, I couldn't get over the international decorating scheme.

We ordered from their "Breakfast for Dinner" section. A friend recommended their "famous" French toast so I wanted to try it. Tasia, our server was very nice and helpful being it was our first time dining there. The menu offered a wide variety of entrees from Korean Fried Chicken to Irish Beef Stew to Chile Rellenos to Jamaican Jerk Chicken... like a global dining experience but we stuck to their breakfast for now (until we come back again). So much to say and I haven't even mentioned our food yet. Well, I ordered one slice of the "Famous French Toast" (custard soaked French bread, topped with in-house whipped maple butter) it was huge for just a slice and probably took my numbers to the diabetic level. It was delicious but I couldn't finish it. Shared it with family at home. Hubby just got sides of bacon and eggs.

I'd like to come back again for the other items on their menu... we had a pleasant first time dining experience at the Tower Cafe.

    FLOP!
I sat down at my table for almost 15 MINUTES and not a single soul looked or came by to check on me. No drink order or anything. As a server I know the 2 minute rule to greet a table. Honestly this isn't the first time I've had this experience at Tower Cafe. When I was leaving employees that were clearly supposed to wait on my table were acting so dumbfounded. Like hello?! This is your job. I could've gotten the job done a lot better if I was my own server haha.
